Von Ebert Brewing is named after the family matriarch who they lovingly refer to as “Grandma Ebert.” The quintessential immigrant story, Grandma Ebert came to America from Germany via Ellis Island and relied on her grit and determination to create a successful life for her family here in the states. Their moniker celebrates her tenacity and honors their heritage. Von Ebert translates loosely to “House of Ebert” or in full English, “House of the Boar.” More than just a catchy name and recognizable mascot, their family lineage inspires everything they do and every craft beer they create. They channel their heritage into German-inspired lagers, a wide range of ales, and the welcoming experience they’ve created in each of their three locations.
