About
The name is an ode to remembering matrilineal traditions & handcraft. The Lyko collection is always changing, but slow goods means always prioritizing local, independent women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ eco-ethical vendors. The shop collaborates with the Portland creative village by featuring art shows, live music, handcraft education workshops & pop-up bizarres in the backyard garden.The little shop has also been a proud vendor at Portland's acclaimed Pickathon Experimental Music Festival on Pendarvis Farm in Happy Valley, OR and Hatchfest in White Salmon, WA. Fun neighborhood fact- Shop Lyko ’s petite 1940's marigold building was originally the family dental practice of Portland City Councilor Dan Ryan.He was nostalgic & happy to see the space reimagined when he visited the shop in 2026.
