Established in 1978, Piece of Cake Catering and Desserts is an award-winning bakery offering fabulous cakes, catering and desserts. Their food designer and founder, Marilyn DeVault, has a flair for the unusual and the elegant. About the owner: Marilyn DeVault completed her masters degree in special education in the 1970âēs at PSU and taught students with disabilities for several years before making a career change. As the bakery grew, she focused her baking on meeting the special dietary needs of her patrons. Her Portland State training and teaching experience inspired her to address special dessert food needs.
